A Russian-speaking hacker named 'bandcampro' used Google's Gemini CLI AI to control a botnet of eight dental clinic PCs, employing it for password cracking and setting up a residential botnet. Analysis of 200 Gemini CLI session logs between March 19 and April 21, 2026, revealed these activities.
