CIC directs IITs to form high-level committees to curb student deaths by suicides
CIC has directed Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) to establish high-level committees to prevent student suicides, with information on these panels to be proactively disclosed on official websites. The directive followed an appeal by an IIT-Kanpur alumnus and founder of a non-governmental organisation focused on student rehabilitation and mental health counselling.
