Urban Grocer opens downtown as Elevate Downtown plan gets underway

Urban Grocer, a new food market, opened downtown Colorado Springs as part of the Elevate Downtown initiative approved by the City Council. The store aims to provide grocery options to the growing downtown residential population and support the shift toward a 24-hour neighborhood. Chef James Africano, owner of Urban Grocer and the Warehouse Restaurant, emphasized the importance of keeping residents close to downtown amenities.
