Josh Kerr of Britain broke the men’s mile world record with a time of 3:42.66 at a Diamond League meet in London, surpassing Hicham El Guerrouj’s 27-year-old record of 3:43.13. Kerr, 28, previously held a best time of 3:45.34 and has competed with Jakob Ingebrigtsen in middle-distance races.
