'Netanyahu belongs in The Hague': NYC mayor Mamdani mulls whether he can order Israeli PM's arrest

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is consulting with his city's Law Department about the legal authority to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he visits NYC. Netanyahu, wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for alleged crimes against humanity in Gaza, is expected to attend the UN General Assembly in September. Mamdani has stated he believes Netanyahu belongs in The Hague but is unsure if he can legally order the NYPD to detain a foreign leader.
