Brush fire in West Broward continues to burn thousands of acres

A brush fire in West Broward near the Everglades burned 6,000 acres and was 30% contained as of 4 p.m. Friday, causing hazardous driving conditions due to thick smoke. The fire, which started around 8 a.m. Friday, continued into Saturday morning with officials yet to determine its cause.
