India-linked ships among top Hormuz transit users, MarineTraffic says
India-linked ships accounted for 20% of outbound transit requests through the Strait of Hormuz, second only to China's 21%, while India was the largest origin for vessels entering the Gulf with 21% of requests. Iran's Persian Gulf Strait Authority reported over 200 transit permit applications from non-Iranian vessels, with tankers making up 41% of requests.
