Parks and Rec launches Teen Summer Jam to provide mentorship and safety
Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation hosted a Teen Summer Jam event at Eastway Rec Center to provide teens with mentorship and safe activities, aiming to reduce teen crime. The program, inspired by initiatives in Baltimore, included basketball, music, art, and board games, with over 140 teens participating in basketball alone.
