Magnitude 7.3 earthquake strikes off Mexico’s Pacific coast, prompts tsunami threat

A magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck off Mexico’s Pacific coast near the Mexico-Guatemala border, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reported tsunami waves of up to 1 meter above normal tide levels for parts of Mexico and Guatemala.
