The Godavari river recorded its lowest-ever daily inflow of 15,000 cusecs at Polavaram in seven decades, attributed to El Niño and irrigation system negligence under the YSRCP government. Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu advised farmers to adopt short-duration crops and use water judiciously.
