A landslide in southwest China buries homes and forces more than 1,000 to evacuate

A rain-triggered landslide in Chongqing's Pengshui County buried residential buildings, forced over 1,100 evacuations, and trapped others. At least 10 people were rescued, and search efforts continue despite unstable terrain and risks of further landslides. Authorities dispatched over 8,000 disaster relief items and suspended utilities near the affected area.
