Punta Cana and Samaná Push Forward as Dominican Republic Tourism Infrastructure Expands
Punta Cana is expanding as a secondary hub for the Americas through a 19-route expansion by low-cost carrier Arajet, including new service to Guatemala. The US$22 million Samaná Bayport cruise terminal, inaugurated by Vice President Raquel Peña, has opened to accommodate large cruise ships.
