Hundreds of rescuers in southwestern China are racing against thunderstorms to reach residents trapped by a landslide in Chongqing’s Pengshui county, which destroyed buildings and was caused by heavy rainfall and extreme weather. Senior rescue officials from Beijing have been deployed to the scene.
