Free cooling kits and heat-safety workshops are being offered in South Los Angeles by SAJE, the ARCH Collaborative, and Cal State L.A. to help residents cope with extreme summer heat. The kits include items like thermometers, cooling towels, and emergency water tablets, with sessions teaching low-cost cooling strategies. Workshops are scheduled for July 18 and July 27.
