Doctors in Royal Oak perform world’s first single-port robotic heart surgery

Surgeons at Corewell Health in Metro Detroit performed the world's first documented single-port robotic mitral valve repair on Patrick O’Brien of Royal Oak. The procedure uses two small incisions, reducing trauma and recovery time compared to traditional open-heart surgery.
