The beach at South Point Access Park has been closed due to elevated E. coli levels detected during routine water testing. Gaston County Parks, Recreation, & Tourism closed the swimming area immediately after test results were received, while other park amenities remain open. Updated test results from Pace Labs are expected Friday, and the beach will stay closed until water conditions are deemed safe.
