Over 120 million car trips, study finds speeding only saved drivers 54 seconds on average
A study analyzing 120 million U.S. car trips found that speeding saves drivers an average of 54 seconds but costs millions in fuel and emissions. Adhering to speed limits could save $22 million daily, 6.7 million gallons of fuel, and 57,000 metric tonnes of CO2, according to University of Minnesota research.
