Minnesota’s Weather Authority has issued heat and air quality alerts through Friday due to a heatwave and wildfire smoke. Poor air quality from wildfires in Northern Minnesota and Canada is affecting the state, with heat index readings reaching near 100 degrees. Showers are expected by Sunday night, followed by cooler weather next week.
