Shanghai synergises computing centres with grid in power infrastructure upgrade

Shanghai has pioneered the synergisation of computing centres with the power grid for peak-load management, achieving a 97.8 megawatt reduction in peak load. This initiative is part of China’s efforts to enhance computing-grid coordination as it upgrades power infrastructure amid the global artificial intelligence race.
