Democrats allege Trump administration stalled US-Canada bridge opening as a favor to billionaire donor
The Trump administration delayed the opening of a $4.7bn publicly owned bridge between Detroit and Windsor, Ontario, which Democrats allege was done to protect the interests of Matthew Moroun, a Trump donor and owner of the nearby Ambassador Bridge. The bridge was initially scheduled to open in June but will now open on 27 July after a deal between the U.S. and Canada was reached.
