Residents asked to reduce prolonged activities outside as Air Quality Alert takes effect

An Air Quality Alert is in effect for Chicagoland due to dangerous conditions caused by heat mixing with smoke from wildfires up north. Residents are being asked to reduce prolonged outdoor activities.
