Bemidji police squad hits, seriously injures pedestrian

A Bemidji police sergeant struck a pedestrian with his squad car, causing life-threatening injuries. The 36-year-old man from Duluth was hit while in the road, and the officer was not using lights or a siren at the time. The pedestrian is suspected to have consumed alcohol prior to the crash.
