Hate the middle seat? United plans new Economy Plus alternative

United Airlines plans to introduce a new Economy Plus seating configuration on its Airbus A321XLR aircraft, replacing middle seats with fixed tables to provide extra leg and elbow room. The feature will be available on all 50 ordered A321XLR jets, set to enter service in early 2027, with 4K OLED screens and ample overhead bin space included in the design.
