Loudoun County, Virginia, may demolish a burned-out townhome owned by Jacob Bogatin, who is charged with first-degree murder and arson in the October 2025 death of Madelaine Akers. The Board of Supervisors will consider an ordinance allowing the county to remove the structure at 20701 Riptide Square due to safety concerns. Bogatin is scheduled to go on trial in August.
