Prince George’s Co. to property owners: Maintain your land or pay up
Prince George’s County has passed a law doubling initial fines for non-residential property maintenance violations to $2,000 and imposing daily fines up to $5,000 for ongoing violations. The law aims to address public nuisances like homeless encampments and illegal dumping near University Boulevard and a Hyattsville shopping center, as cited by Council member Wanika Fisher.
