Brazil Truckers Call Off Strike After Senate Passes Freight Law
Brazil truckers ended their strike after the Senate passed MP 1.343/2026 on July 14, averting its lapse. The law removed a R$5,000 monthly pay floor for long-haul drivers, which deputies had previously added but was deemed unrelated to the original decree.
