Woman escapes, barricaded man surrenders after threatening Romulus police during domestic violence standoff
A 32-year-old Ypsilanti man barricaded himself in a Romulus home with a 37-year-old woman during a domestic violence standoff, threatening to shoot police officers. After a prolonged negotiation with the Western Wayne Special Operations Team, the suspect released the woman, who was taken into protective custody, before surrendering without further incident.
