Miramar Police, students clean up beach, cook barbecue to kick off ‘Hangin’ with 5-0′ camp

Miramar Police officers and students participated in a beach cleanup and barbecue event to launch the 'Hangin’ with 5-0' summer camp, a community initiative between the Miramar Police Athletic League and the City of Miramar. The program, which supports at-risk students, was co-sponsored by Sunbeam Properties, whose funding 17 years ago saved the initiative from cancellation due to budget cuts.
