Boko Haram exploited US and Chinese AI chatbots for attacks, Cambridge study finds
Boko Haram members were trained to use AI chatbots from the US and China for attacks in northeastern Nigeria, according to a Cambridge study. The training, conducted by external consultants using encrypted tools, was likely facilitated by Islamic State network affiliates in 2023 or 2024.
