[US] Dude calls saying someone at our company is using his SSN to report income, feels like a scam?

A man called claiming someone at the company is using his SSN to report $100k+ in income, disrupting his disability benefits. He refused to provide his name, hung up, and could not be reached back. This is the second such incident, with the first investigation finding nothing.
