Guyana Hardwires Local Manufacturing into the Oil Supply Chain
Guyana's oil operators spent US$743 million on local suppliers in 2024, with cumulative procurement exceeding US$1.5 billion since 2021. Three Guyanese firms are fabricating components for the Jaguar FPSO, and subsea jumpers are now manufactured at the Vreed-en-Hoop Shorebase. Guyanese nationals constitute 67% of the workforce in the sector.
