U.S.-based academics call for Assam land rights activist Pranab Doley’s release
Pranab Doley, an Assam land rights activist, was detained in Guwahati on July 12 and arrested in Golaghat district on July 13 on charges of violent protest against the State government's plan to build a luxury hotel and a 'tea tribes' museum near Kaziranga National Park. U.S.-based academics have called for his release.
