Philippine police are investigating the killing of an American marine biologist

An American marine biologist was shot and killed by three masked men who entered his home in Sibulan, Negros Oriental. The suspects stole a laptop, cash, and a backpack before fleeing, and police are investigating the motive. The victim, Kent Carpenter, was a lecturer at Silliman University and contributed to marine biodiversity research.
