2 charged for assault with intent to murder in connection to shooting at Waterford apartment complex

Two 18-year-old men, Ricardo Johnson and Carmelo Buckles, were charged with assault with intent to murder and felony firearm charges following a December 2025 shooting at a Waterford apartment complex that left a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound. Police reported the suspects forced entry into the victim’s bedroom, prompting the victim to return fire, and both fled the scene before officers arrived. They were arrested in June and July 2026 and are set for a probable cause conference on July 21.
