India summoned Iran's deputy ambassador over the killing of an Indian seafarer in the Strait of Hormuz. The UAE defense ministry reported that two of its vessels were targeted by Iranian cruise missiles in the southern lane of the waterway, resulting in one Indian crew member killed and eight others injured.
