New law strengthen protections for Hawaii educators

Hawaii Governor Josh Green signed House Bill 1888 into law, mandating the Department of Education and public charter schools to investigate harassment complaints, create emergency plans, provide annual prevention training, and assist employees in obtaining restraining orders. The law expands criminal harassment protections to educational workers and sports officials.
