Gov. Landry, Meta formally announce Louisiana data center’s historic expansion
Meta is expanding its Richland Parish, Louisiana data center to five gigawatts of IT capacity with over one billion dollars in local infrastructure upgrades and a new energy agreement projected to save customers two billion dollars over 20 years. The expansion will create 7,500 construction jobs and 1,000 operations roles, along with a five-million-dollar grant to Louisiana Delta Community College for workforce training.
