US industrial base is becoming stronger for wartime production, study finds
A study by the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) indicates the U.S. defense industrial base is improving for wartime production, with 10,000 new companies entering the market and munitions contract obligations rising 330% since FY 2010. However, challenges remain in manufacturing lead times, stockpile resilience, and supply chain security.
