Hong Kong’s Star Ferry seeks 30% fare rise, eyes pet-friendly service

Hong Kong’s Star Ferry has applied to increase fares by 30% on its two franchised routes due to rising operating costs and plans to introduce a pet-friendly service between Wan Chai and Tsim Sha Tsui. The fare hike, ranging from HK$0.80 to HK$2 per journey, was submitted for review ahead of a Legislative Council transport panel meeting.
