Officials once again warn defenders that Russian hackers are targeting network devices

Officials from the United States and 12 other countries warn that Russian state-sponsored hackers, including the group FSB Center 16, are exploiting vulnerable network devices to target critical infrastructure. The hackers use default or weak passwords and exploit old Cisco vulnerabilities, prompting advisories to disable features like Cisco Smart Install and strengthen authentication.
