UK will proscribe Iran’s IRGC over ‘threats to life’
The UK will proscribe Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) due to threats to life and intimidation, including its role in intelligence and proxy activities. The National Security (State Threats) Act 2026 criminalizes support for the IRGC with life imprisonment, and the Islamic Movement of Companions of the Right is also proscribed for attacks on Jewish and Israeli communities.
