Northern Metropolis fast-track laws will ‘run parallel’ with environmental rules
Hong Kong's Northern Metropolis project will have dedicated fast-track laws that do not override the Environmental Impact Assessment Ordinance, according to authorities. The statement followed a meeting of the government-appointed Advisory Council on the Environment, which focused on streamlining construction noise permit procedures for the development near the mainland China border.
