The American Red Cross is urging residents of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky to address an 'emergency blood shortage' caused by a months-long decline in donations. The shortage is particularly critical for platelets and O positive and B negative blood types, with hospital demand exceeding supply. Donors who schedule appointments between July 13 and 31 will receive a Fandango movie ticket.
