Karnataka gender minority and intersex community representatives demand welfare board, ordinance against Trans Act, 2026

Karnataka gender minority and intersex community representatives are demanding the establishment of a welfare board and an ordinance to oppose the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Amendment Act, 2026, passed by the Central Government. The delegation requested the State Government to promulgate the ordinance in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly.
