User crippled a network while trying to learn Nmap
Roger, a former team manager, used Nmap to scan his company's internal network over the weekend, causing the network to fail. The IT department traced the outage to his laptop, which was isolated for scanning. Roger claimed ignorance and later learned the laptop was scanned for viruses but retained.
