Planes sent to tackle wildfires of 'exceptional scale' near Paris

Firefighting planes were deployed for the first time from the south of the country to combat wildfires of 'exceptional scale' near Paris. The south, typically drier and hotter, had not previously sent planes to address fires in the Paris region.
