Mastermind of €88m Louvre heist thought they ‘could have taken more’
Two men suspected of stealing €88m worth of crown jewels from the Louvre in October 2025 told investigators the mastermind was disappointed with the haul. The French newspaper Le Monde cited transcripts revealing details of the heist, which led to the museum's director resigning.
