Residents of Spanish towns caught in fierce blazes recount harrowing escapes

Residents in southern Spain's Almería Province, including Lucinda Curtois, recount their escapes as wildfires spread near the town of Bédar, a vacation destination for British and Belgian expatriates. Curtois was in her vacation home's pool when a neighbor alerted her to distant flames.
