Macron warns of resurgent demons of antisemitism as France honors Alfred Dreyfus

French President Emmanuel Macron warned of resurgent antisemitism while inaugurating a statue for Alfred Dreyfus, a Jewish officer wrongfully convicted of treason in 1894. A suspicious military weapon was found near a synagogue in Sarcelles, prompting a terrorism investigation. France has seen increased antisemitic incidents since the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attacks.
