Germany records nearly 100 drowning deaths, many of them young men, in June heatwave

Germany recorded 99 drowning deaths in June, primarily among young men, during a heatwave with temperatures reaching 41.7C. The extreme temperatures in Europe also led to the early closure of the Eiffel Tower.
